Entry One- March 14, 2007
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done? *I have done many research projects at Episcopal. In sixth grade, a major research project was when I researched Albert Einstein, and we did the Wild West Project. In seventh grade, we researched the differrent areas of Louisiana. This year we have researched labyrinths.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you? *To me research means to search and find information on a specific subject in order to learn more about the subject.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative? *In a research project in sixth grade I waited until the last minute to do all of my research. I ended up staying up late and being very tired for my presentation. This experience taught me that I need to do my research in equal, spread out amounts so that I do not get overloaded at the last minute.
Entry Two- March 15, 2007

1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
*This helped me to decide what I mainly need to focus on within my topic. Once I made a lot of questions it was not hard to figure out my FAT QUESTION.
Teacher Response March 20 - I know nothing about this topic, so I am looking forward to your paper. 20/20.
Entry Six- March 20, 2007
1. What have I learned today?
*My topic is harder than I thought, so I have decided to expand it by researching historical war horses, which cause the development of dressage.
2. What problems have I had?
*There is not that much information on dressage in the databases, which is causing me to have to work harder to research.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
*I have to look deeper into my subject to find things that will make my search easier.
4. What will I do next? *I am going to begin researching the broader areas of my topic.
Teacher Response March 21 - Maybe you could look into other type of info on horse riding or horse care? 10/10. Entry Seven- March 22, 2007
